Solution:  BAS created all the art, animations and interface elements.  Delivered prerendered 3D sprites and animation sequences, as well as FMVs. Worked closely with US Art Director and Producer.
Challenges:  Since Blue has evolved from a simple 2D character to a live action fuzzy puppet, we had to make a 3D model that was identical with the real character. That involved some heavy fur modeling and real puppet-like movement of the animations. We matched the characters to their real models and movements so much, so when the first test was show to the client, the reaction was – “where did you get this footage from?” It was very realistic. The environments, lighting and textures had to match the real studio, but transformed so to serve the game play. Besides creative challenges, we had an extremely pleasant ride with ImagineEngine, Valuesoft and Nickelodeon – wonderful companies to work with. The provided us with rich photo material and references. We had everything we needed to create a beautifully looking game and we did.
